Bajaj Holdings & Investment Limited (BHIL) has informed the stock exchanges that Allianz SE has fully exited its remaining 3% stake each in two insurance subsidiaries of Bajaj Finserv — Bajaj General Insurance and Bajaj Life Insurance — by tendering its shares in the buyback offer. As a result, BHIL's equity stake in each of the two insurance companies has increased marginally from 17.56% to 18.10%. This is a follow-up to BHIL's earlier letter dated 8 January 2026 regarding Allianz's proposed participation in the buyback. Allianz SE has now completely exited both insurance companies, ending its joint venture involvement.
The stake increase is small (about 0.54 percentage points) and unlikely to materially impact BHIL's earnings or stock price in the short term. However, it simplifies the ownership structure of both insurance companies and removes a key foreign JV partner, giving the Bajaj group full strategic control going forward.
