On 22 October 2026, Balkrishna Industries signed three agreements with Pirelli Tyre for a proposed 50:50 Indian joint venture, to be incorporated by 31 December 2030 subject to conditions. It would build a passenger car radial tyre plant. Balkrishna will also make Pirelli-branded tyres at its Bhuj plant under an offtake agreement initially ending by 31 December 2031. Pirelli will provide testing support. No deal value was disclosed.
May boost passenger car tyre growth and exports. The future joint venture and plant carry execution risk; financial terms were not disclosed.
