On the reaction day the stock moved 0.7 pts less than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 1.1 pts less than its Sugar peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

Balrampur Chini Mills received a Rs 75 crore grant from the Government of India through DBT-BIRAC under the BioE3 initiative. The grant will fund a 100 TPA PLA Co-Polymer R&D Facility at Kumbhi, Uttar Pradesh. The facility will develop next-generation PLA grades, advanced co-polymers, and bio-based materials. BCML is also building India's first commercial PLA plant of 80,000 TPA capacity.
Non-dilutive Rs 75 Cr govt grant strengthens BCML's bioplastics strategy and R&D capabilities; long-term positive but small vs overall sugar-business base.
