Bank of Baroda reported standalone net profit of Rs 5,048 crore for Q4 FY25 (up ~3.3% YoY) and Rs 19,581 crore for the full year FY25, about 10% higher than Rs 17,789 crore in FY24. Consolidated FY25 net profit rose to Rs 20,716 crore from Rs 18,767 crore. Total income grew ~8.6% YoY to Rs 1,38,089 crore, driven by higher interest earned on advances (up ~9.3%) and steady treasury/investment income. Asset quality improved with Gross NPA at 2.26% (vs 2.92%) and Net NPA at 0.58% (vs 0.68%); Capital Adequacy Ratio strengthened to 17.19% under Basel III. The Board recommended a dividend of Rs 8.35 per share (417.5% on face value), with record date June 6, 2025 and AGM on June 23, 2025. Auditors issued an unmodified opinion with an emphasis-of-matter note on ongoing amortization of family pension liability.
Solid year for shareholders — double-digit profit growth, improving asset quality, higher capital adequacy, and a generous dividend suggest earnings and balance sheet remain healthy. The emphasis-of-matter is a known, RBI-permitted accounting treatment and is unlikely to impact investor sentiment materially.
