Bank of India reported its provisional business figures for the quarter ended June 30, 2025. Total global business grew 10.33% year-on-year to ₹15.06 lakh crore, up from ₹13.65 lakh crore a year ago. Global deposits rose 9.07% to ₹8.34 lakh crore, while global gross advances (loans) grew faster at 11.95% to ₹6.72 lakh crore. On the domestic side, deposits increased 9.62% to ₹7.10 lakh crore and gross advances climbed 11.16% to ₹5.65 lakh crore. Loan growth outpacing deposit growth indicates continued credit demand. These are provisional numbers and are still subject to review by the bank's statutory central auditors.
Steady double-digit growth in advances suggests healthy credit demand and business momentum, which is positive for shareholders. Investors should wait for the audited quarterly results for clarity on profit, asset quality, and margins.
