Bank of India's standalone Q2 FY26 net profit rose 7.6% to Rs 2,555 crore as total income grew 3.8% to Rs 20,626 crore. Gross NPA fell to 2.54% from 4.41% and net NPA was 0.65%. Capital adequacy was 16.69% and EPS Rs 5.61. Operating margin fell to 18.52% from 20.87%. Half-year operating cash flow was negative Rs 10,427 crore. Note 18 shows a net exceptional debit of Rs 518.8 crore from rural bank amalgamation.
Higher profit and lower bad loans support the stock, but a weaker operating margin and negative operating cash flow may limit gains.
