Bank of India reported strong full-year results for FY2025-26 with standalone net profit of Rs 1,052.72 crore, up 14.2% from Rs 921.90 crore in the previous year. Total income grew 6.5% to Rs 8,503.55 crore. The bank recommended a dividend of Rs 4.65 per share (46.50%) for shareholders. Asset quality improved significantly with gross NPAs falling from 3.27% to 1.98% and net NPAs from 0.82% to 0.56%. Capital adequacy strengthened to 18.01% with CET-1 ratio at 15.05%. The bank holds 100% provision coverage (93.57% including technical write-offs) and has made additional provisions of Rs 1,190.56 crore for 5 large stressed accounts. The auditors issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the financial statements.
Positive results showing improved profitability, better asset quality, and stronger capital position. The clean audit opinion and dividend recommendation are shareholder-friendly. Frauds of Rs 1,826.51 crore were reported but fully provided for.
