Bank of India reported strong FY26 results with net profit surging 14.19% YoY to ₹10,527 crore, driven by 15.82% growth in global advances to ₹7.71 lakh crore and improved asset quality. Gross NPA ratio improved significantly by 129 basis points to 1.98%, while net NPA improved by 26 basis points to 0.56%. Provision Coverage Ratio strengthened to 93.57%. The bank's capital adequacy ratio improved to 18.01%, well above regulatory requirements. RAM (Retail, Agriculture, MSME) advances now constitute 58.74% of total advances, showing a healthy shift toward diversified lending. Net Interest Margin compressed by 30 basis points to 2.52% for FY26.
The results show improving asset quality and strong profit growth, indicating a healthy operating environment. NIM compression is a concern as it pressures future earnings growth, though this may be partially offset by strong loan growth.
