BWI Steel Private Limited, the wholly owned subsidiary of Bansal Wire Industries, has signed an MoU with the Ministry of Steel, Government of India under the PLI Scheme 1.2 for Specialty Steel. The subsidiary will invest Rs 70 Crores across FY 2025-26 and FY 2026-27 to set up new capacity of 70,000 tonnes per year for manufacturing stainless steel wire, in line with PLI scheme guidelines and targets.
Positive: Government-backed PLI support and 70,000 tonne capacity addition can drive long-term revenue growth and margin expansion.
