On the reaction day the stock moved 1.2 pts more than Nifty Microcap 250 and 1.9 pts more than its Specialty Chemicals peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
BASF India received NSE's no objection letter dated 2 February 2026 for its scheme to demerge the Agricultural Solutions Business into wholly owned subsidiary BASF Agricultural Solutions India Limited (BASIL). BSE had already issued its no objection on 30 January 2026. SEBI also gave observations on the draft scheme. The company can now file the scheme with NCLT. BASIL shares must be listed within 60 days of NCLT approval. The NSE observation letter is valid for six months.
Moves the demerger forward; NCLT filing and shareholder and creditor approvals still required before BASIL shares can list.
