BCPL Railway Infrastructure has been admitted as the qualified Single Bidder by Bengaluru Integrated Rail Infrastructure Development Enterprise Limited (Bi-RIDE), a Karnataka government SPV under K-RIDE. The work involves designing, supplying, erecting, testing, and commissioning the shifting and modification of 8 switching stations (including 6 Sub-Sectioning & Paralleling Posts and 2 Sectioning & Paralleling Posts) along with SCADA systems on Corridor-1 and Corridor-4 of the Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project (BSRP). The project is valued at Rs. 135.30 million (inclusive of GST) and is to be completed within 24 months. The company stated this falls within its normal course of business.
This adds a new government-backed order worth ~Rs. 13.5 crore to BCPL's order book, providing revenue visibility over the next two years. As a domestic rail infrastructure contract from a state-backed entity, it strengthens the company's credentials in railway electrification, though the order size is modest relative to larger infrastructure players.
