Bharat Dynamics Limited announced that Cmde. A. Madhavarao (Retd.), Chairman and Managing Director, has superannuated effective 30 April 2026 after closing of office hours. This marks the completion of his tenure as CMD on the Board. The Ministry of Defence has assigned additional charge of the CMD post to Shri D. V. Srinivas Rao, who currently serves as Director (Technical), for a period of three months from 01 May 2026 to 31 July 2026, or until a regular incumbent assumes charge.
The departure of the CMD is a significant leadership change. However, since the replacement is an internal senior executive on an interim basis, the operational impact on the defence PSU may be limited. Shareholders should monitor for the appointment of a regular CMD.
