On the reaction day the stock moved 4.4 pts more than Nifty Midcap 150 and 3.2 pts more than its Heavy Electrical Equipment peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Adani Power awarded BHEL four domestic contracts covering boilers, turbines, generators, auxiliaries and agreed services for four projects of 2x800 MW each. Each contract is valued at Rs 5,000-7,000 crore excluding GST, so the total is Rs 20,000-28,000 crore. Work will follow customer project schedules.
The sizeable domestic orders strengthen revenue visibility, but the earnings contribution will depend on execution timing, costs and timely payments.
