On the reaction day the stock moved 1.2 pts more than Nifty Midcap 150 and 2.2 pts more than its Heavy Electrical Equipment peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited received a notification of award from NTPC Limited for an 800 MW Darlipali supercritical thermal power project, Stage II, in Sundargarh district, Odisha. The engineering, procurement and construction order is worth over Rs 6,650 crore, excluding GST, and must be completed within 48 months of the award. NTPC is a government of India enterprise. The order was awarded through international competitive bidding and is not a related-party transaction.
Positive for BHEL's future business and earnings visibility, but the 48-month execution period means benefits will be spread over time.
