Biocon, with Brazilian partners Bahiafarma and Bionovis, secured 100% allocation under Brazil's 10-year Productive Development Partnership (PDP) program for Pertuzumab, a HER2-positive breast cancer therapy. The consortium gets exclusive access to Brazil's public healthcare market, about 70% of the country's Pertuzumab demand. Biocon will earn milestone payments and a share of revenues over 10 years, with phased local manufacturing in Brazil. Pertuzumab is currently not produced locally and is a significant cost for Brazil's Unified Health System (SUS).
Long-term revenue visibility and entry into Brazil's public oncology market; positive for growth outlook, though value not disclosed.
