On the reaction day the stock moved 8.9 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and 6.8 pts less than its Other Construction Materials peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
BirlaNu's board approved forming a wholly owned subsidiary with Rs 15 lakh capital to run a digital platform for product discovery, sampling and links between architects, interior designers and building-material brands. For the September quarter, consolidated revenue was Rs 884.52 crore and net loss Rs 57.37 crore. The six-month revenue was Rs 2,058.54 crore, with a net loss of Rs 47.97 crore. Clean Coats merger needs Mumbai tribunal approval.
The digital platform may support growth, but the Rs 15 lakh outlay is small. Quarterly losses and pending merger approval may weigh on sentiment.
