Blue Dart Express reported Q1FY26 revenue from operations of ₹1,441.9 crore (consolidated), up about 7.4% from ₹1,342.7 crore in Q1FY25. However, profit after tax declined roughly 8.6% year-on-year to ₹48.83 crore from ₹53.42 crore, and profit before tax fell to ₹65.93 crore from ₹72.03 crore. Basic EPS on a consolidated basis slipped to ₹20.58 from ₹22.51. Standalone numbers mirrored this trend, with revenue growth but a lower PAT of ₹46.93 crore. The main pressure on margins came from a sharp jump in other expenses (up ~25% YoY) and higher depreciation, which together outpaced revenue growth. Auditors Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP issued a clean limited review with no qualifications. The press release highlighted the launch of India's largest integrated facility at Bijwasan, New Delhi, and continued investment in hubs, automation and digital capabilities.
Mixed quarter for shareholders: topline growth is steady but bottomline shrank, suggesting cost pressures are catching up with the company. Margin compression and rising other expenses could weigh on the stock in the short term, though the clean auditor report and ongoing network investments provide some reassurance on longer-term growth.
