Brahmaputra Infrastructure Ltd, in JV with HBMCPL, emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a Rs 137.60 crore railway EPC contract from Northeast Frontier Railway Construction. The scope includes earthwork, bridges, a Road Over Bridge, and railway electrification on the Kokrajhar-Gelephu cross-border rail link to Bhutan, to be executed in 2 years. This is the first construction package on the 69-km corridor, announced at a total project cost of Rs 3,456 crore. Formal Letter of Acceptance is still awaited.
New order adds revenue visibility; L1 status positions company for future packages on the same corridor. Formal award pending.
