BSL Limited, a textile company based in Bhilwara, announced audited results for Q4 and the full year ended March 31, 2025. Revenue from operations was largely flat at Rs. 667.06 crore versus Rs. 666.45 crore last year, a growth of just about 0.1%. However, net profit fell sharply by roughly 27% to Rs. 8.16 crore (from Rs. 11.23 crore), with Q4 profit being very thin at just Rs. 0.28 crore versus Rs. 2.52 crore in Q4 last year. The board recommended an 8% dividend (Rs. 0.8 per share on a Rs. 10 face value), subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming AGM. The statutory auditor, SSMS & Associates, issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the results. A notable positive was operating cash flow turning strongly positive at Rs. 57 crore, compared to a negative Rs. 39.47 crore last year. The board also re-appointed internal and cost auditors and appointed V.M. & Associates as the new secretarial auditor for five years.
The sharp drop in profits despite stable revenue signals margin pressure, which may weigh on investor sentiment. However, the strong turnaround in operating cash flow, slight reduction in long-term borrowings, and a small dividend offer some comfort to shareholders.
