Adani Power has been approved as the successful resolution applicant by the Committee of Creditors of GVK Energy Limited, which is undergoing Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process under the IBC. APL received the Letter of Intent from the Resolution Professional on September 7, 2026. GVKEL owns and operates a 330 MW hydroelectric power plant in Uttarakhand through its subsidiary Alaknanda Hydro Power Company Limited. Implementation is subject to NCLT Hyderabad and other regulatory approvals.
Adds 330 MW hydropower capacity to APL portfolio via insolvency route. Awaiting NCLT and regulatory clearances before completion.
