Capri Global Capital's board met on August 1, 2025 and approved the unaudited consolidated financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Total revenue from operations rose to Rs. 1,003.79 crore, up nearly 40% from Rs. 717.66 crore in Q1 FY25. Profit after tax jumped about 131% YoY to Rs. 174.90 crore (vs Rs. 75.72 crore), with EPS at Rs. 2.05 versus Rs. 0.92. The statutory auditors (MSKA & Associates) issued an unmodified opinion on the results. The board also appointed M/s Singhi & Co as Joint Statutory Auditor for a three-year term, in compliance with RBI guidelines mandating joint audits for NBFCs with assets above Rs. 15,000 crore. Additionally, Mr. Partha Chakroborthi stepped down as CFO (effective August 1, 2025) to take up the CFO role at wholly-owned subsidiary Capri Global Housing Finance Limited, and Mr. Kishore Lodha, a 23-year finance veteran with NBFC experience, was appointed as the new CFO. There were no deviations in the use of NCD proceeds, and no outstanding loan or debt defaults were reported.
Strong Q1 performance with revenue and profit growth well above thresholds is a positive signal for shareholders, though partly reflects a low base quarter. The CFO transition appears orderly—an internal move to the housing finance subsidiary—minimising disruption. The appointment of a second joint auditor is a regulatory compliance step triggered by the company's growing asset size, not a red flag.
