Capri Global Capital Limited has completed its Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) and allotted 13.65 crore equity shares to qualified institutional buyers at ₹146.50 per share, raising approximately ₹2,000 crore. The issue was priced at a 4.82% discount to the floor price of ₹153.93, with a premium of ₹145.50 over the face value of ₹1. The QIP opened on June 9, 2025 and closed on June 12, 2025. As a result, the company's paid-up equity capital increased from ₹82.51 crore to ₹96.16 crore. Marquee investors including BlackRock, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Societe Generale, Quant Mutual Fund, and 3P India Equity Fund subscribed to the issue, with Quant Mutual Fund alone taking 20.46% of the total issue size.
The successful ₹2,000 crore QIP strengthens Capri Global's capital base, supporting its lending business growth. While the 4.82% discount to floor price is moderate, participation from top-tier institutional and foreign investors signals strong institutional confidence, which is generally viewed positively by the market.
