Castrol India and Tata Motors have signed an MoU to launch a pilot programme for collecting, channelising and recycling used engine oil. Tata Motors' authorised service network in Karnataka will act as collection points, while Castrol India will channelise the used oil to registered recyclers. The initiative addresses hazardous used oil waste management and supports both companies' sustainability strategies. Castrol says this is its first OEM collaboration focused on building a structured used-oil circularity ecosystem.
Positive sustainability and branding move; strengthens Castrol's OEM ties with Tata Motors but no immediate financial impact expected.
