Ceigall India announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Ceigall Green Energy MP Limited has executed 15 Power Purchase Agreements with Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL) for 130 MW of solar capacity under the Surya Mitra Krishi Feeder Yojana. The agreements have a 25-year operational period at a tariff of Rs 2.85 per unit. The estimated EPC cost is approximately Rs 572 crore including GST, with a 12-month execution period followed by 25 years of power supply. This marks Ceigall's entry into the renewable energy sector, diversifying from its core highway and infrastructure business.
This is a major diversification move for Ceigall into solar energy with a substantial Rs 572 crore contract, providing long-term revenue visibility through 25-year PPAs. The order represents a significant strategic shift that could positively impact investor sentiment, though the stock may see limited immediate reaction as execution is over 12 months.
