Central Bank of India reported FY26 net profit of Rs 4,368.60 cr, up 15.4% YoY from Rs 3,785.26 cr. Total income rose 7.7% to Rs 42,341.42 cr. GNPA improved to 2.67% from 3.18%, NNPA to 0.49% from 0.55%. Capital Adequacy Ratio rose to 17.91% from 17.02%. Board declared 4th interim dividend of Rs 0.60/share (6%) with record date May 8, 2026. Plans to raise Rs 7,000 cr in FY27 via FPO/QIP/BASEL III bonds. Auditors gave unmodified opinion, flagging deferred tax assets and depreciation method change.
Improved asset quality, higher capital adequacy, and steady profit growth are positives; Rs 7,000 cr capital raise may dilute equity.
