Centum Electronics' board approved audited FY25 results showing standalone revenue of Rs. 7,479 million (up 18% YoY) and profit after tax of Rs. 528 million (up 46% YoY), with basic EPS of Rs. 40.66 versus Rs. 28.13 last year. Consolidated revenue rose to Rs. 11,309 million but the company posted a small consolidated loss after tax of Rs. 19 million, hurt by Rs. 148 million in exceptional items and continued losses at its French subsidiary Centum T&S Group. A final dividend of Rs. 6 per share (60%) has been recommended. On the management front, long-serving CFO K S Desikan will retire on August 31, 2025, due to superannuation, and will be succeeded by Sundararajan Parthasarathy effective September 1, 2025. Apparao V Mallavarapu was reappointed as Chairman and Managing Director for another five years, while Nikhil Mallavarapu was elevated from Executive Director to Joint Managing Director. Dr. Udayant Malhoutra joins as an Independent Director for a five-year term.
Shareholders get a healthy 46% jump in standalone profits and a steady Rs. 6 dividend, which is positive for sentiment. The CFO change is a planned succession rather than a sudden exit, which reduces execution risk, but the small consolidated loss and ongoing troubles at the French subsidiary remain watchpoints for investors.
