On the reaction day the stock moved 3.6 pts more than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 3.3 pts more than its Power peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
CESC's wholly owned subsidiary CESC Green Power is setting up solar cell and module manufacturing across India. The plan includes a plant of more than 3 GW, battery manufacturing, a 60 MW renewable power plant and ancillary units. Total capital investment is estimated at up to INR 5,000 crore. CESC will provide equity, strategic support and institutional funding to secure financing and implement the projects.
The projects may support long-term growth, but CESC's funding commitment could raise cash needs, borrowing or dilution for existing shareholders.
