CG Power has commissioned its new EHV switchgear facility, S3 Unit-II, in Nashik on June 4, 2026. The plant adds 7,200 units of annual capacity in the 33kV to 245kV range, expanding EHV circuit breaker capacity by 80 percent. Investment so far is Rs. 39.49 cr, part of a larger Rs. 748.20 cr greenfield project funded via internal accruals. Existing capacity runs at 85 percent utilization. Includes 500kV and 350kV testing labs.
Positive for growth. New capacity addresses the 85 percent utilization constraint and supports demand from utilities, railways, renewables and exports.
