CG Power announced the rollout of the first power transformer from its new greenfield facility at Sehore, Madhya Pradesh, claimed as India largest single-location power transformer plant. Built in 13-14 months on 50 acres, the plant will reach 45,000 MVA capacity in phases, starting with 10,000 MVA now operational. Total transformer capacity will rise to 1,20,000 MVA. Investment of Rs 792 crores funded via QIP and internal accruals. Facility will serve renewables, data centres, railways and exports.
Capacity boost of around 60 percent to 1,20,000 MVA strengthens CG position in renewables and data centre demand. Positive for long-term revenue growth.
