Chemplast Sanmar Limited is acquiring 27 percent equity in Yesaryes Energy Private Limited for Rs 45 Lakhs in cash. Yesaryes operates a 37.5 MW solar power plant in Tamil Nadu. Through a Power Purchase Agreement and Share Purchase Agreement, Chemplast will source green energy for captive consumption under the Group Captive Power Plant Scheme. The deal is not a related party transaction and requires no regulatory approvals. Commercial operations at the plant began in April 2026. The aim is to reduce the company's energy costs.
Minor investment of Rs 45 Lakhs, but supports captive solar power sourcing, helping lower long-term energy costs and sustainability goals.
