On the reaction day the stock moved 1.1 pts more than Nifty 100 and 1.9 pts more than its Oil Gas & Consumable Fuels peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
On November 7, 2025, Coal India and Damodar Valley Corporation agreed to form an equally owned joint venture to build a 1,600 MW expansion at DVC's existing Chandrapura plant in Jharkhand. It will also study thermal, renewable and storage projects. Initial paid-up capital will be Rs 10 lakh, and each partner will appoint three directors.
The project offers CIL a larger role in power expansion and energy storage, but costs, approvals and returns have not been disclosed.
