Suven Pharmaceuticals Limited has officially changed its name to Cohance Lifesciences Limited with effect from May 7, 2025, after receiving approval from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA). The name change is the final step in the Scheme of Amalgamation under which Cohance Lifesciences Limited (Transferor Company) was merged into Suven Pharmaceuticals Limited (Transferee Company). The scheme was sanctioned by the NCLT Mumbai bench on March 27, 2025. The company will now apply to BSE and NSE to update its name in stock exchange records, while its scrip code (543064) and symbol (SUVENPHAR) remain unchanged for now.
Shareholders remain unaffected in terms of their holdings; this is purely a rebranding following the completed merger. Investors should expect the stock to trade under the new name 'Cohance Lifesciences' on BSE/NSE once exchanges process the update, and a new scrip symbol may follow later.
