On the reaction day the stock moved 1.8 pts less than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 1.4 pts less than its Auto Components & Equipments peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Craftsman Automation's wholly owned subsidiary Sunbeam Lightweighting Solutions has approved selling its aluminum piston manufacturing plant, machinery and related assets to Shriram Pistons and Rings Limited (SPRL) on a piecemeal basis. Total consideration is Rs 28 Crore excluding GST, to be paid in cash. The deal is expected to close on or before 31 March 2026 in two tranches. SPRL is not a related party or part of the promoter group. The sale is structured as an asset purchase, not a slump sale.
Exits the aluminum piston line for Rs 28 Cr, modest deal size. Neutral to mildly positive as it sharpens focus on core operations.
