Dalmia Bharat's wholly-owned subsidiary, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL), has completed the acquisition of cement plants from Jaiprakash Associates Limited and Adani Infra (India) Ltd. The acquired assets include plants located at Rewa (Madhya Pradesh), Churk, Chunar, and Sadwa (Uttar Pradesh) with 5.2 MnTPA cement capacity and 3.3 MnTPA clinker capacity. The Business Transfer Agreement was executed on May 21, 2026. With this completion, Dalmia Bharat's total cement capacity now stands at 54.7 MnTPA. JAL had been acquired by Adani Group under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code.
This acquisition strengthens Dalmia Bharat's position in the cement sector by adding significant capacity, bringing total capacity to 54.7 MnTPA. For shareholders, this represents operational expansion and potentially improved market share.
