On 14 October 2025, DCM Shriram commissioned a 35,000 tonne-per-year Epichlorohydrin plant at its Jhagadia chemical complex in Gujarat. A further 17,000 tonne-per-year capacity is planned shortly, taking the planned total to 52,000 tonnes per year. The plant links the chlor-alkali business with advanced materials, as Epichlorohydrin is used to make liquid epoxy resins. It uses glycerine, a biodiesel by-product, instead of propylene.
Adds downstream and advanced-materials capacity, supporting growth and chlorine utilisation; earnings will depend on ramp-up, plant usage and product prices.
