DCW Limited announced a Rs 250 crore strategic investment programme as the first phase of its next growth cycle. The investment will expand Synthetic Iron Oxide Pigment (SIOP) capacity by 50 percent, from about 30,000 tonnes per annum to 45,000 tonnes per annum at its Sahupuram complex. It also covers new value-added pigment products and captive power infrastructure upgrades. The company expects to be Net Cash Positive by FY27 exit before additional leverage for this capex.
Capacity expansion targets higher-margin Specialty Chemicals growth; capex is material enough to require incremental borrowing beyond current cash position.
