DCW Limited has provided an update on its Soda Ash plant where a CO2 gas compressor had broken down, originally reported in 2023. The company has now received new replacement parts from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and will install them with minimal production downtime. Through internal changes, the plant's capacity utilization has been elevated from 75% to 90%. The cumulative loss from lower capacity utilization and reduced sales since October 1, 2023 stands at Rs. 19 crore. The new part will be kept as a backup to prevent similar future incidents.
