On the reaction day the stock moved 3.2 pts more than Nifty Microcap 250 and 2.4 pts more than its Sugar peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
The board approved buying 47,287,537 shares, or 51%, of Venus India Asset-Finance, an RBI-registered non-bank finance company, for USD 5.51 million, about Rs 50 crore. The deal needs RBI approval and other conditions before completion. Promoter-group firm Goel Investments will separately buy shares and hold 45.01%. In FY2024-25, the target reported Rs 42.20 crore turnover and Rs 14.94 crore profit after tax.
The deal could widen revenue and profit sources, but there is no immediate earnings impact until approvals are received and the purchase closes.
