Diamond Power Infrastructure has commissioned a new copper wire drawing and copper cable manufacturing line at its existing Vadodara, Gujarat complex, with commercial production starting August 20, 2026. The line has installed capacity of 1,500 MT per month and targets data centres, power plants and high power-intensity industrial installations. This marks the company's first move into copper-based cables, as it was previously focused on aluminium conductors. No substantial new investment was needed as machinery was already available.
Entry into higher-realisation copper cable segment diversifies product mix; expected to support topline growth with minimal capex.
