Dilip Buildcon, through its joint venture DBL-PSP (DBL 74% and PSP 26%), has emerged as the lowest bidder (L-1) for an industrial corridor infrastructure project in Kerala valued at Rs. 1,115.37 Crores (excluding GST). The contract has been floated by the Kerala Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Limited, a government entity. The scope includes design, construction, testing, commissioning, and operation & maintenance of infrastructure works at Pudussery Central and Kannambra of the Palakkad Node, under the extension of the Chennai Bengaluru Industrial Corridor to Kochi via Coimbatore. The project will be executed on an EPC basis over 42 months. This win strengthens DBL's order book and reinforces its presence in the road and industrial infrastructure segment.
Positive for shareholders — the sizeable government-backed order adds to revenue visibility over the next 3.5 years and boosts the company's order book. L-1 status indicates the formal contract is likely to follow, which could support near-term sentiment on the stock.
