NTPC has declared Unit-3 (660 MW) of the North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project (3x660 MW) as commercially operational from 00:00 hrs on June 15, 2025. With this commissioning, NTPC's total standalone commercial capacity rises to 60,266 MW and group capacity to 81,368 MW. This is one of three 660 MW units planned at the North Karanpura project, adding meaningful thermal generation capacity to NTPC's portfolio.
