NTPC Limited has announced that Unit-3 (660 MW capacity) of the North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project has successfully completed its trial operation and has now been included in the company's installed capacity. This unit is part of the larger 3 x 660 MW North Karanpura project. With this addition, NTPC's total installed capacity has risen to 60,266 MW on a standalone basis and 81,368 MW on a group basis. The announcement was made on June 12, 2025, as part of routine corporate disclosure requirements.
