DISPOSAL OF NON-CORE-ASSETS.
Awaiting price reaction for this filing.
The Ramco Cements has sold non-core assets worth Rs. 455.03 crore during FY25 against a target of Rs. 1,000 crore set in November 2024. Of this, Rs. 376 crore came from selling shares held in other companies and Rs. 79.03 crore from disposal of land parcels. The company achieved about 45% of its targeted monetisation goal, with most sales happening before December 2024 and only Rs. 11.38 crore from land sales in the January-March 2025 quarter. The remaining gap of nearly Rs. 545 crore appears to be carried forward or pending.
The cash inflow from non-core asset sales can help the company strengthen its balance sheet and reduce debt, which is positive for shareholders. However, falling short of the Rs. 1,000 crore target by nearly half may raise questions about execution speed and the company's dependence on its core cement business for future growth.
