NCLT Chennai has ordered a meeting of secured creditors of Dr. Agarwal's Health Care (AHCL) on July 2, 2026 to vote on a scheme to merge Dr. Agarwal's Eye Hospital (AEHL) into AHCL. AHCL already holds 72.67 percent in AEHL. Remote e-voting runs June 7 to July 1. The merger is expected to be EPS accretive from year one. AEHL has 63 plus facilities, mostly in Tamil Nadu, while AHCL runs 288 plus facilities across India and 19 in Africa.
Key step in consolidating subsidiary AEHL into parent AHCL. Needs 75 percent creditor vote by value. Deal is expected to add to earnings per share from year one.
