On the reaction day the stock moved 0.5 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and 0.9 pts more than its Holding Company peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
The National Company Law Tribunal sanctioned the merger of Edelweiss Retail Finance Limited with ECL Finance Limited on September 12, 2025. The scheme became effective on September 30, 2025 after the certified order was filed with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Edelweiss Retail Finance has ceased to be a subsidiary, while ECL Finance continues as a wholly owned subsidiary of Edelweiss Financial Services.
This is an internal consolidation, not a sale. ECL Finance remains wholly owned, so any direct effect on shareholder value is likely limited.
