On the reaction day the stock moved 4.5 pts more than Nifty Microcap 250 and 4.5 pts more than its Holding Company peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
SEBI has given its no-objection for WestBridge Capital, through affiliates Setu AIF Trust, Konark Trust and MMPL Trust, to acquire up to 15 percent of paid-up equity share capital of Edelweiss Asset Management Limited (EAML), a subsidiary of Edelweiss Financial Services. This follows the company disclosure dated August 22, 2025 regarding the proposed stake sale in EAML and Edelweiss Trusteeship Company Limited.
WestBridge Capital entry as a strategic partner strengthens the asset management arm and validates its valuation. Positive for Edelweiss shareholders.
