Elcid Investments has revised its earlier disclosure about subscribing to Compulsorily Convertible Preference Shares (CCPS) of Zepto Private Limited, correcting an error in the previously mentioned stake percentage. The company is investing up to ₹7.5 crores via cash to acquire CCPS with a face value of ₹5 each, translating into roughly 22.55 lakh equity shares at ₹33.25 per share on a fully diluted basis. This gives Elcid a very small stake of about 0.0146% in Zepto's share capital. Zepto, a 10-minute grocery delivery platform founded in 2021, reported turnover of about ₹1,11,099 million in FY25, up sharply from ₹44,545 million in FY24 and ₹20,244 million in FY23. The deal is expected to complete within 25 days, is not a related party transaction, and requires no regulatory approvals.
This is a minor portfolio investment by Elcid, an NBFC, into a high-growth quick-commerce company and is unlikely to move Elcid's stock meaningfully on its own. Shareholders should note the earlier disclosure had a stake-percentage error which has now been corrected downward to 0.0146%.
