Enviro Infra Engineers, previously focused on water and wastewater EPC, is entering the renewable energy sector with two solar project acquisitions totalling 69 MW capacity. The first involves a 40 MW solar project in Bolangir, Odisha, through the awarded acquisition of Vento Power Infra Private Limited at a cost of ₹115.61 crores, with a tariff of ₹4.10 per unit for about 18 years; this project has already achieved Partial Commercial Operation Date. The second is a 29 MW solar project in Maharashtra via the acquisition of Soltrix Energy Solution Private Limited through wholly owned subsidiary EIE Renewables, supported by ₹92.80 crores in state financial assistance and a tariff of ₹0.88 per unit over 25 years. Together, the projects bring in long-term revenue visibility through power purchase agreements of 18–25 years. The move marks a strategic diversification from the company's traditional water and wastewater EPC business into clean energy.
This is a positive diversification move that opens a new high-growth revenue stream with long-term contracted cash flows, likely to be viewed favourably by the market.
