Exhicon Events Media Solutions announced that the DGCA (India's aviation regulator) has granted an Air Operator Permit (AOP) to its subsidiary, United Helicharters Private Limited (UHPL), on February 20, 2026. The permit is valid until February 19, 2031 and authorizes UHPL to conduct commercial non-scheduled helicopter operations, including charter, corporate mobility, offshore support, pilgrimage and medical evacuation services. UHPL, originally established in 1998 and acquired by Exhicon in 2024 from Qatar General Petroleum Corporation, has till now been an aviation support and infrastructure provider at Mumbai's Juhu heli-base. This marks Exhicon Group's entry into active flying operations, expanding beyond its existing exhibition services and aviation infrastructure businesses.
This is a positive strategic milestone that opens an entirely new revenue stream for Exhicon in the commercial helicopter segment, supported by a 5-year regulatory clearance. The move from support services to licensed operations diversifies the business but also adds operational, regulatory and capital expenditure risks typical of running an air operator.
