Fujiyama Power Systems has commissioned its 2,000 MW solar panel manufacturing facility at Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, as part of a greenfield expansion project. The plant will initially operate at ~1,000 MW under single-shift and is planned to ramp up to full capacity by Q4FY27 through double-shift operations. With this, the company's total solar panel manufacturing capacity rises to 3,568 MW. The inverter and battery manufacturing lines at the same facility faced delays due to incorporation of advanced lithium-ion battery technology and geopolitical supply-chain disruptions. The inverter line is now expected by Q1 FY27, with machinery already received on-site, while the battery line is expected by Q2 FY27 with machinery orders placed.
The commissioning strengthens Fujiyama's integrated manufacturing footprint and positions it to capture India's growing domestic rooftop solar market. However, the delays in the inverter and battery lines and the phased ramp-up of the solar line mean revenue impact will be gradual through FY27.
